Croatian American ethnic literature is presented in its historical, diachronic perspective encompassing an entire century of fiction and non-fiction writing.
In addition, various reading and critical models are applied in dealing with the texts, such as genre theory, ethnic studies, American Studies, ethnography, and aspects of postcolonial theory, while the questions of diaspora, language and transculturation are also covered in the discussions on the appropriate texts. The authors included in the seminar are: G. Karabin, A. Tresić-Pavičić, L. Adamič, E. Ifkovic, M. H. Stefaniak, Vladimir Goss, Josip Novakovich, Neda Miranda Blažević-Krietzman, and Janko Deur.
